Kerala Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery BR-69 Results: The first prize of Rs 12 crore of Thiruvonam bumper or Kerala Onam Bumper lottery, results of which were announced on Thursday afternoon, was won by the ticket number TM 160869. The results of the lottery was announced at 2 pm. The second and third prizes took away Rs 50 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, respectively.

The winners will have to surrender their tickets within 30 days of the announcement of the draw to a bank or government lottery office with valid id proofs. Price ofeach ticket is Rs 300. Despite winning Rs 12 crore, the first prize winner will not get the entire sum of lottery, and he or she will have to settle for Rs 6.18 crore after the mandatory deductions of agency commissions and income tax. While agency commission is 10 per cent of the prize money, a 30 per cent of the income tax would be levied (plus applicable surcharge and cess).

There are multiple bumper prizes also conducted by the Kerala State Lottery department namely- Onam, Vishu, Christmas and Pooja/Dussehra. There are two seasonal jackpots- monsoon bumper and summer bumper as well.
In 2018, the Thiruvonam bumper had a maximum cash prize of Rs 10 crore and still managed to register record sales despite the raging floods and landslides. This year, besides the top cash prizes, around 180 people took away with Rs 1 lakh each and 31,500 people got Rs 5000 each.
