He is 16-year-old computer genius. A topper in his class, he always secures 90% marks. Right now, he is behind bars! It may sound like a classic story from a crime show, but it is a hard reality. The Jaipur Police has arrested a 16-year-old son of a Hisar University professor for allegedly making vulgar internet calls to over 50 Rajasthan University teachers. The teen was making obscene internet calls to the teachers for past one week. He was also allegedly threatening them.

Because he was making internet calls, police couldn’t trace the source of the caller. However, the police got a major lead after the accused sent a lewd gift to one of the teachers via an app. The gift was sent with ‘cash on delivery’ option. The teacher rejected the parcel and it was returned to the company. This gave the major clue to the cops. After probing the sequence of events, the cops discovered that the gift was sent by a Hyderabad-based company. The Jaipur Police contacted the company and zeroed in on the IP address used to make the order.

The police linked the IP address to a device used by someone in Haryana’s Hisar University. It led to arrest of the teen, who confessed that he used his phone, which was connected to Hisar University’s WiFi. Jaipur’s Gandhi Nagar Police reached the Hisar University to nab the accused. The teen is known for his exceptional computer skills who always secures 90 per cent marks.
