Three of family found dead in IIT-Delhi campus, investigation underway

Three members of a family were found dead inside their flat located in the premises of Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi on Friday night. According to police, the bodies were hanging from fans in different rooms. No suicide note has been recovered from the site.

Gulshan Das- a lab technician - along with his wife Sunita and mother Kamta were found hanging from the ceiling fans in three rooms of the flat, said a police officer.

IIT Delhi administration informed the police that they were not being able to contact Gulshan and upon reaching there, cops found that the flat was locked from inside.

As they entered the house after breaking open the main door, they found the bodies, the officer said, adding that no suicide note was recovered from the spot.

According to police, Gulshan – who hails from Haryana - and Sunita had got married in February.

Sunita's mother Krishna Devi too had reached her daughter's house after she got to know about the altercation, they added.
