New Delhi:

The Bihar Board Class 12 Intermediate Exam 2019 is scheduled to begin from tomorrow for Arts, Commerce and Science streams. The exam will be conducted till February 16, 2019. The Bihar Board examination for class 12 would be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will start from 9:30 am and will continue till 12:45 pm.

The second shift examination would be conducted between 01:45 pm to 05:00 pm.  First 15 minutes are reserved to read and analyze the question paper, so students will have only 3 hours to write the exam. This year, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has adopted some strict ways to avoid the cases of cheating. The board has also decided to ban footwear inside the exam centres. Apart from banning the footwear, the students will also be required to remove their socks in order to appear for Class 12 examinations.

Here are some of the major changes made by BSEB for board exams:

1. Answer sheets: As the exam of both class 10 and 12 will be conducted in two shifts, the board has decided to keep a separate colour of the answer sheets for different time slots.

2. OMR sheet: The board has instructed to change the colour of the middle part of the OMR sheet in comparison to the other two parts. Moreover, the font of the instructions written on the sheet has also been increased so that the students can’t write anything on that part.

3. Examiners: The board is planning to implement the evaluation incentive scheme of awarding at least 30 per cent incentives to the examiners in order to motivate them. Also, 20 per cent incentives will be paid for the correct coding of the barcodes.

4. Different portals: The board has taken an initiative to create different portals so that it becomes easier for the district education officers, examination centres, evaluation centres, students to share the issues related to the exams.
