CBSE notifies its plans on re-conduct of Class 12 Physics and Economics paper
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified Class 12 candidates to not pay heed to fake news of re-conduct of Physics and Economic paper that is being circulated through WhatsApp. According to the board's public advisory, the information dated March 28, 2019 and signed Sh. K.K Choudhury, former Controller of Examinations is fake and created by miscreants.
"This is brought to the notice of Stakeholders that the news of re-conduct of Physics and Economics of Class XII is fake. All Stakeholders and public are requested not to give any heed to the rumours like the abovesaid one and cooperate with the CBSE in the smooth and fair conduct of examinations." read the advisory.
CBSE had organised Class 12 Physics paper on March 5 and Economics paper on March 27 and the students expressed their dissatisfaction with the question paper asking for re-examination.
The board has earlier located fake links on YouTube that falsely claimed to have access to Class 12 question papers on subjects which are yet to be conducted.
“The board is keeping a constant vigil and bringing unwanted activities to the notice of police immediately so that suitable and strict action against miscreants can be taken under provisions of IPC and IT Act. More uploads have been located on YouTube falsely claiming to have access to the Class 12 original question papers of subjects which are yet to be conducted,” a CBSE notification read.
“FIRs have already been logged with against persons circulating fake news regarding paper leak and availability of question papers prior to the examinations,” the notification further read.
The CBSE has also appealed to students and parents not to react to such fake news in circulation and to join hands with the board for fair and smooth conduct of examinations. The board has been approaching the Delhi Police in connection with the circulation of fake news about paper leaks following which several FIRs have been registered. It had in February advised students and parents not to panic and to be aware of any rumours on social media ahead of board examinations.
The CBSE Class 12 exams began on February 15 and will conclude on April 3. Class 10 exams began on February 21 and ended on Friday.
