Odisha Class 12 Exam 2020 To Begin From March 3.

New Delhi:

Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will begin the Odisha Class 12 Board exam 2020 from March 3, 2020. The last exam will be held on March 28, 2020. The practical examinations will commence on January 27 and will end on February 5, 2020. The Science stream examination will begin from March 3 and the Arts and Commerce stream exam will start from March 4, 2020.

This year as per CHSE Controller of Examinations, Bijay Kumar Sahu, 2,18, 800 candidates will appear in the Arts stream while 98,536 candidates will appear in the Science stream and 25,770 in Commerce.

The admit card for the examination will be available 3 days before the commencement of the practical exams. The vocational examinations will be held from March 17. The CHSE officials have said that the exams will take at a place where CCTVs are installed. The colleges where there are no CCTV cameras are asked to install the facility soon.

About the Odisha Board

There are two separate boards for regulating High School Education and Higher Secondary Education. The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha is in existence since the year 1982 and was established in accordance with the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Act 1982. The duties of CHSE, Odisha include regulating and monitoring the policies to develop Higher Secondary Education in the state of Odisha. The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha is a Body Corporate constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953.

The BSE is located at Bajrakabati Road, Cuttack and is functioning as an education body since 1955. It conducts the High School Certificate Examinations (HSCE) and other related examinations. Its duties and jurisdiction involve the development of curriculum, supervision in the implementation of state academic policies and conducting examinations for the purpose of evaluating the students at the higher secondary level.
