GATE 2019: Online registration process and choice filling starts

New Delhi:

Candidates who have secured a prestigious rank in GATE 2019 can now enrol for centralized counselling or CCMT 2019 that commenced from April 8, 109. The candidates seeking to secure a seat at one of the below-mentioned colleges can enrol for the counselling sessions for their M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. programmes

Gate 2019 Counselling: Participating institutes seeking admission

  • National Institue of Technologies (NITs), IIEST Shibpur,
  • 8 IIITs,
  • National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT) Ranchi, School of Planning and Architecture
  • (SPA) Vijayawada, University of Hyderabad, Central University of Rajasthan, Sant Longowal Institute of
  • Engineering and Technology (SLIET) Longowal, Punjab Engineering College (PEC) Chandigarh and Shri
  • Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

This year, CCMT is being organized by National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha

The list of PIs and their seat distribution, eligibility matrix, date of commencement of classes, fee Structure, contact Addresses are given on the CCMT-2019 website https://ccmt.nic.in. 

Gate 2019 Counselling: Eligibility Requirements

For a candidate to be eligible for M.Tech./M.Arch./M. Plan. programme:

  • Must have a valid GATE Score of the year 2017 / 2018 / 2019 
  • In qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA

CCMT eliminates the need for students to apply for individual institutes. The counselling process consists of three stages:

  • Online Registration, Choice Filling and Locking of Choices
  • Online Seat Allotment, Seat Acceptance fee deposit and Physical Reporting at a Reporting Center 
  • Getting Admitted to Allotted Institute.

Gate 2019: Important Dates

The online registration process ends on April 26 while that of choice filling process ends on April 28. Round 1 seat allotment starts of May 03.

Candidates securing a seat should report at the allotted institute for admission and deposit balance institute fee in between July 23 and 26, 2019.
