IIT JAM 2020: Registration Process Begins Tomorrow, Check Eligibility Criteria Here

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Kanpur will begin the online registration process for IIT JAM 2020 from tomorrow i.e. August 5, 2019. Candidates can register themselves through the official site of IIT JAM at jam.iitk.ac.in.

The last date to apply online for IIT JAM 2020 is till October 8, 2019. The examination will be conducted on February 9, 2020, and examination will be conducted in two session- Session I from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and Session II from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The subjects for which the examination will be conducted in the first session include Biotechnology, Mathematical statistics and Physics and the examinations conducted in the second session Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics. This year the Biological Sciences subject has been omitted.

IIT JAM 2020 – Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who want to apply for IIT JAM 2020 should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute.
  
  
• In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
  
  
• If CGPA/CPI is on a different scale, it would be linearly mapped to a scale on 10.
  
  
• At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form.
