The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has extended the last date to apply for the Intermediate Advanced Supplementary Examinations to April 29. In a press statement, TSBIE Secretary A Ashok said it was decided to extend the last date from April 27 to April 29 for the payment of the fee. However, those applying for re-verification of answer sheets have to pay the fee by April 27.
Meanwhile, the TSBIE had announced the TS Intermediate 1st and 2nd Results on 18 April, 2019. The scorecards are now available on the official website of the board. This year, the declaration of the result sealed the fate of more than 9 lakh students. Out of 4,55,789 students, who appeared for the TSBIE first year examinations, 2,84,224 were declared successful.
The pass percentage among girls was 69% and that of the boys was 55.66%. In the second year, 2,88,772 students, out of 4,29,378 who appeared for the exam, passed. Girls outscored boys with a pass percentage of 73.25. The pass percentage of the boys was 61%.

The Telangana Board of Secondary Education and Telangana Board of Intermediate Education were established in the year 2014, after the formation of the state of Telangana from the territories of Andhra Pradesh. The State Board of Telangana or Telangana Board is divided into two sections. The Telangana Board of Secondary Education conducts the SSC exams and the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education conducts the Intermediate exams, i.e. 11th and 12th.
