Anonymous callers ask Class 10, 12 students to share bank details or FAIL in exams!

New Delhi:

Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 and Class 12 results are expected any time now. But some miscreants are trying to make the best use of the growing nervousness among the students who took the exams under strict vigilance this year and now are waiting for the results.

The Uttar Pradesh Education Board(UPSEB) has made an appeal to the examinees and their parents to not fall to these traps laid by these malicious people who are threatening students of bad results if they don't pay them via anonymous phone calls.

The move by the Uttar Pradesh Board came after students complained to the Board that unidentified persons are threatening them with direful consequences like failing them in results if they do not provide with their savings bank account details and IFSC code.
Secretary UPSEB, Neena Srivastava, has asked such parents receiving calls from anonymous persons to take legal action against the callers. Around 12 such numbers have been submitted by the secretary to the Uttar Pradesh DGP. Investigation to find one who the numbers belong to is underway. According to primary reports, the numbers belong to Bihar.

The secretary said the UPSEB is serious on the issue and is considering legal options to take action against the miscreants.
