The board president Jahan Ara Begum said they will take strong steps against the officials involved in circulating fake information about the result. “The board will take strong steps against the officials identified in spreading rumours. 10.55 am: The result was earlier expected to be released on May 14, 2019 but it was delayed due to the unfortunate circumstances owing to Cyclone Fani that had hit the region.

This year, around 5.87 lakh students had appeared for the Odisha Class 10 board examination. The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducted the Matric exams on 22 February.Last year, Baleswar had recorded the highest pass percentage of 88.25 percent in 2018 BSE Odisha Class 10 board examination, the results of which were declared on 7 May.
About the Board
There are two separate boards for regulating High School Education and Higher Secondary Education. The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha is in existence since the year 1982 and was established in accordance with the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Act 1982. The duties of CHSE, Odisha include regulating and monitoring the policies to develop Higher Secondary Education in the state of Odisha. The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha is a Body Corporate constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. The BSE is located at Bajrakabati Road, Cuttack and is functioning as an education body since 1955.
