The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice on its official website stating that the schools cannot withhold the Admit cards of the students appearing for the board examinations.

The announcement comes a week before the board examinations for classes 10th and 12th commence. The announcement also notified that the admit cards of students who failed to perform well in the pre-board examinations also cannot be withheld by the school authorities.

The board has strictly asked the schools to adhere to the given rules, saying that the CBSE issues the Admit cards to the students based on the list of the eligible candidates received by the schools.

The CBSE said, “In no case the Heads of affiliated schools shall detain eligible candidates from appearing at the examination,” while mentioning the Rule 15 made by the board.

If in any case, the students are facing any issue regarding this, they are advised to check the official website of the board, www.cbse.nic.in. The students should also note that no fee should be charged for issuing the admit cards.

The CBSE board examinations for classes 10th and 12th are all set to begin from March 5, 2018.
