New Delhi:

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is all set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Nearly 2.41 lakh candidates have registered for the examination, which will take place at 374 centres across 147 cities. With just one day left for the prestigious MBA entrance exams, candidates should keep in mind a few important points before entering the examination centre. CAT 2018 will be conducted in two different shifts. While the first shift will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the second round of CAT 2018 examination is scheduled to be held between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. However, owing to the verification process, candidates must ensure to reach by 7:30 am for the forenoon session and by 1:00 pm for the afternoon session.

CAT 2018 exam format:

CAT 2018 would consist of three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. Other important instructions:

- Candidates should download their admit cards from CAT website (iimcat.ac.in), take a printout of the same on A-4 size paper, affix their photo (same as uploaded in application form) and bring these to the examination hall along with their original identity proofs.

- As per the official guidelines, jewelry or any items containing metals, jackets and footwear are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

- Aspirants should not carry pen or paper to the examination centre. IIM Calcutta will provide a writing pad and a pen for rough calculation at the test centre.

From this year onwards, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will accept the CAT scores for admission to its newly launched MBA programme. The management programme will be offered through the School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
