The last date for online registration for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE Registration 2018 is today. Candidates who have not yet applied for GATE Registration 2018 can apply for the same till 8 pm in order to fill the form and avoid technical issues at the official website – gate.iitg.ac.in.
This year GATE 2018 examination is scheduled to be held on February, 3, 4, 10 and 11 next year and according to the schedule published by IIT Guwahati - the official organiser of the exam -, the results will be published in March 2018.
In the latest update on GATE 2018, conducting bodies have notified candidates that in case the application reads 'under scrutiny', candidates need not worry. "The scrutiny process will continue even after the application portal is closed," said the update.
Also, an update was posted by the exam conducting body — IIT Guwahati — the mandatory verification of email address and mobile number is relaxed.
"Due to last minute rush, the mandatory verification of email and mobile number (before submitting the GATE application form) is relaxed. You will be able to submit the application form now without verifying the email address and mobile number.
Also, make the payment before due date. However, you need to verify the email and mobile number later by login to GOAPS," said the update from GATE 2018 official portal.
Application fee for GATE Registration 2018:
# It is Rs 1500 for general category, female and SC/ST/PwD category has to pay Rs 750 while international candidates have to submit $50.
Exam date for GATE Registration 2018:
# February 3 to February 11, 2018,
The entrance exam will be conducted in two sessions.
# The first session will take place in the forenoon from 9 am to 12 pm, while the other session will take place in the afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm.
