GATE 2019 Admit Card to be released at gate.iitm.ac.in today, here are the steps to download

New Delhi:

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Madras is all set to release the GATE 2019 Admit Cards on Friday, January 4, 2019. The institution will make the admit cards available on its official website i.e gate.iitm.ac.in. This year, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will take place between February 2 and February 10, 2019. GATE 2019 will be held in two shifts each day - morning and afternoon. While the first round of examination will be held between 9 am to 12 pm, the second round is scheduled to take place between 2 pm and 5 pm. The results will be announced on March 16, 2019.

The entrance examination is a gateway to master's and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and other branches of science at various Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and IITs across the country. Apart from admissions to various post graduate and research programmes, GATE enables candidates to receive financial assistance to pursue master's programmes in all institutions supported by the MHRD and other government agencies.

Here are the steps to download your GATE 2019 Admit Card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE - gate.iitm.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the link - Admit Card under the Quick Links box

Step 3: Enter your Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password to login to your account

Step 4: Enter the Captcha

Step 5: Click on submit

Step 6: GATE 2019 Admit Card will be appeared on your screen

Step 7: Download and take a print out of your admit card for future reference

Gate 2019 will be conducted on 24 papers including aerospace engineering, agricultural engineering, architecture and planning, biotechnology, civil engineering, chemical engineering, instrumentation engineering, mathematics and mechanical engineering among others. A candidate is allowed to appear for only one paper in any one session.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologies at Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras) and Mumbai (Bombay) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), and Government of India. The GATE score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate.
