JEE Main 2019: Admit Card to release today on NTA website

Admit Card for JEE Main to release today on NTA website

New Delhi:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the Admit Cards for Joint Engineering Entrance examination (Main) on December 17 which is scheduled to held in January 2019. The admit cards will be available for download on the official website of NTA and JEE, which is www.ntac.ac.in and www.jeemain.nic.in. From now onwards, JEE Main will be conducted twice in a year, giving students two chances in a year to appear in the exam and improve their performances. The exam was being conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018 but now the responsibility to conduct these exam has been handed over to the NTA.

JEE Main will begin from January 6th to 20th, 2019 and will be only computer-based examination to be held into multiple sessions. Students can also practice for exam by taking online mock test from the official website.

Students can register for Test Practice Centres (TPCs), set up by NTA under a provision for test practice on the official website of NTA and JEE Main. The admit card will contain the candidate’s name, examination date, city and shift of examination.

In case, candidate are not able to download the admit card on the official websites, they can contact the NTA Help Line between 10 am to 5 pm from December 17to January 23rd..

JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

Minister for Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar earlier tweeted, “The main feature is that students will not lose one year because there will be two examinations before admission. He/ she can appear in either of the two, or both. The best score will be taken into account for the result’’.

Here are the step to download JEE Main Admit Cards:

  1. Visit NTA official website, www.nta.ac.in
  2. Select Engineering tab
  3. Select Registration tab
  4. JEE Main website will open in new tab
  5. Login with registered IDs
  6. Download the admit card
