The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has notified the clerk exam 2017 through the Common Recruitment Process (CWE Clerk VII) on the official website – ibps.in.
The notifcation inlcudes openings of 7884 postions for bank clerks.
It is one of the most expected announcement & through this, IBPS is to conduct the 7th common written examination (CWE - VI) for clerk jobs in Indian banks for the year 2018-19.
In most banks, the clerk job profile also includes them to take up the work of cashier to assist customers to withdraw & deposit cash in their accounts.
IBPS conducts this common exam once every year for graduates.Qualifying in IBPS clerk 2017 exam is necessary to apply for clerk vacancies in public sector banks of India.
This year there is a dip in openings by 60 per cent. In 2016, IBPS released 19,243 vacant posts and 19 banks participated in the recruitment drive.
The online registration process will begin from September 12 and will end by October 10. IBPS will conduct the preliminary examination in December. The online exam will have two stages — preliminary and main. The provisional allotment of candidates is expected to release in April 2018.
Inorder to apply for IBPS clerical exam 2017, it is compulsory for candidates to satisfy the following conditions:
- Age to be min 20 years & max. 28 yrs, as on Sep 1, 2017 (+5 yrs for sc/st & + 3 for obc)
- Pass in degree (any discipline) from a recognized university, on or before October 3 , 2017
- Should know to read/ write/ speak the local language of the state you are applying for is necessary.
- Computer knowledge is compulsory.You should have studied computers in high school/ college as a subject/ degree OR must posses a certificate from any computer training institute.
Application fees: For general category, it is Rs 600 while for reserved category, it is Rs 100.
