New Delhi:

Kolkata Police has announced invitation of application for the post of 675 Civic Volunteers in different units of the Kolkata Police force. The selection of 25 Civic Volunteers for enrolment under Detective Department will be processed through interview. The minimum age of the application to apply for these posts is 20 years (as of January 1st, 2018) and the maximum age will be 60 years.

The minimum education qualification of the aspiring candidate is Class 8th pass and the preference will be given to those applicants with sports background and experience in NCC Cadet / Boy Scouts / NSS Guide / Civil Defence Volunteers etc.

Additionally, the applicant should not have any criminal record against him/her and should also be physically and mentally fit.

The candidates who are applying for Police Housing Estate should have an experience in Plumbing, Carpentry and Masonry work. And, those are applying for River Traffic Police should know how to swim and the ones with working experience as an Engine Driver and Serang will be more preferred.

The last date of submitting application for the post of Civic Volunteers in Kolkata Police has been extended till December 22, 2018 up to 5 pm.

Here is the complete procedure of how to apply:

  1. The application should be printed on white A4 size paper only.
  2. The application should be attached with the following documents:
    1. Self-attested copy of identity proof, i.e. PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Bank Passbook with photograph and Aadhaar Card.
    2. Self-attested copy of address proof, i.e. PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Bank Passbook with photograph and Aadhaar Card.
    3. Self-attested passport size photograph
    4. Self-attested copy of age proof document, i.e. Birth Certificate and School Leaving Certificate
    5. Self-attested copies of educational qualifications documents.
