Staff Selection Commission to increase cut-off of SSC CGL examination 2017

New Delhi:

Staff Selection Commission is all set to increase the cut-off of 2017 Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination. According to reports, it may also set a higher cut-off for the aspirants of SGL Tier 1 exam, 2017.

Though the decision will increase the competition between the candidates, from now on the papers of SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will be easy in comparison to previous years.

While in past 4 years, the cut-offs of SSC CGL Tier 1 examination were 62, 102, 96.5 and 102.25 respectively for General category, the percentage for SC/ST and Physical handicapped candidates varied from 62-103 and 25-90 respectively.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2017 has already started from August 5 and will culminate on August 25, 2017. Computer based online examination has 25 question from reasoning, English comprehension, general awareness and quantitative aptitude. While each of the section carries 50 marks, each wrong answer in every section will deduct 0.5 marks. Quantitative aptitude and General Awareness sections are a bit difficult in comparison to other sections in the question paper.
