All Delhi Schools will remain shut down till March 31 for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. Earlier, the Delhi Schools were shut down till March 31, 2020 for students only. The decision to shut down schools for students, teaching and non-teaching staffs has been taken by the Delhi Government amid Coronavirus Outbreak that is now declared as a pandemic. Teachers now require to do evaluation work of annual exam papers from home. Other than this, the evaluation work of board exam papers has been suspended as of now.
The pandemic COVID-19 is spreading rapidly across the globe and almost everyone seems affected from this dangerous virus directly or indirectly. Taking this matter seriously and to stop this respiratory infectious virus from spreading further, the Delhi government has decided to shut down all schools for students, non-teaching and teaching staffs.
All students are advised to stay home and refrain from visiting crowded places. Other than this, during this troublesome time, everyone is advised to stay calm and follow the Ministry of Health and Welfare Guidelines to stay safe as personal hygiene is one way out to combat COVID-19.
Meanwhile, CBSE and CISCE have also postponed Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2020 that were scheduled to be held between March 19 and March 31, 2020. Students were going to appear for CBSE Board Exam 2020, ICSE Board Exam 2020 and ISC Board Exam 2020 during this time period should contact their respective schools to get more details on revised exam dates.
