All parents who are awaiting Kendriya Vidyalaya’s 2nd list for their children’s admission to Class 1, brace yourselves. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release the second list of provisionally selected students for admission to Class 1 on Tuesday on its official website – www.kvsangathan.nic.in. The third list will be released on April 23, if more seats remain vacant. Both the second and the third lists will be released on the basis of the availability of seats.
The online registration process for admission in class 1 in various Kendriya Vidyalayas for the new academic session started on March 19, 2019.
Admission criteria for admission to Class 1
The child should be 5 years old as on March 31 in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class I. (The child born on April 1 will also be considered.) The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan said, "The maximum age limit can be relaxed by 2 years in case of differently-abled students by the principal".
Meanwhile, parents of students willing to take admission to Class 2 onwards except Class 11 should apply latest by Tuesday and the candidates can apply through the official website- kvsangathan.nic.in. However, the admission process for Class 11 will only begin after the declaration of Class 10 results that are expected to be out by May.
The first admission list for Class 2 will be announced on April 12, 2019. The candidates who find place in the merit list have to complete the admission process within April 20, 2019. The admission process for Class 2 admission will be closed on April 30, 2019.
Last month, the Kendriya Vidyalayas released the first list of Class 1 admission on the respective websites. The KV lists have been released by individual schools. The second and third merit lists of Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 admission will be based on the remaining vacant seats and will be released on April 9 and 23, according to the schedule released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).
