Mumbai University Exam dates are likely to be rescheduled to avoid clash with the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Initially, the Mumbai University exam were supposed to be held on October 21 and October 22, 2019. It is to note that the varsity is going to reschedule the dates of 68 exams of Mumbai University. The overall exam dates of Mumbai University remain unaffected and the exam will commence from October 1, 2019. It’s only the exams that were supposed to be held on October 21 and October 22, 2019 will be rescheduled.
Examination Branch Official, Mumbai University, said that the rescheduled exam dates will be announced soon. The main reason for the Mumbai University Exam Date changes is because of the polling booths will have to be made available for three days, which includes the day of election and day before and day after the election. The university must take 21st and 22nd October into consideration as October 20, 2019 is already a Sunday.
Apart from this, schools may remain closed due to the assembly elections. According to a teacher of Mumbai School the exams are likely to end before October 21, 2019.
