TikTok Launches EduTok Program To 'Democratize e-Learning' (Representational Image)

In the recent series of event, TikTok – The leading short video content platform has launched the EduTok Program. The program was launched at an event in New Delhi. The program diversely integrated and streamlined with the objective to democratize e-learning particularly for bringing the Indian Digital Community under one educational platform. The official release of TikTok has earlier stated about the satisfying response from its user ever since the inception of the program. As a part of this initiative, 10 million content pieces have been created with the hashtag EduTok so far. Importantly, the whopping 48 million views and 1.8 million shares in itself shows the popularity of Edutok program.

The Edutok program was launched by TikTok keeping in mind the long-sighted vision and benefits related with Digital Learning. Through this initiative, the program has also joined hands with leading social organizations such as Josh Talks and Nudge Foundation in order to launch a mentorship program. The Mentorship programs aims to support and guide naïve internet users by giving them space to access rich educational content and educational organizations.

According to the official release of TikTok, Josh Talks (part of the mentorship program) will conduct 25 workshops wherein 5,000 creative professionals will be selected for real time learning experience modules that will be deli9vered by existing creator.

Other than this, the Nudge foundation will produce optimized content for the respective workshops for all the participants. The content module will comprise important topics such as Soft Skills, Skill Development, Career Planning and Identity Building. TikTok will organize the workshops from October 2019 to March 2020 across 6 states that include Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu and Jharkhand.
