    • APP accuses BJP of trying to buy its MLAs for Rs 10 crore.
    • Kejriwal asks voters to vote for full statehood of Delhi.
    • Delhi will go to polls in a single phase on May 19.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has approached as many as seven AAP MLAs and offered Rs 10 crore each allegedly in its bid to buy those lawmakers, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday while campaigning for his party in Delhi's Chandni Chowk area.

Addressing a massive roadshow in support of AAP candidate from the seat, Kejriwal said, "In the past three days, seven of our MLAs have told us that BJP has approached them and has offered Rs 10 crore each to buy them. They want to break our MLAs, this doesn't suit Prime Minister Narendra Modi".

"A day before yesterday, Prime Minister had said that he will buy 40 MLAs of Mamata Banerjee and make her government fall," the Delhi chief minister said in a reference to PM Modi's statement in West Bengal's Srirampur rally.

While addressing an election rally at Srirampur Modi had on Monday said 40 Trinamool Congress MLAs are in touch with him and there is nothing that can save Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Asking people to support the good work done by AAP, Kejriwal said his government has worked for welfare of the people and, therefore, they should vote for full statehood of the national capital, the party's plank for the Lok Sabha elections.

"We have worked for providing electricity, water, roads, we have constructed schools, hospitals, sewer lines and much more. People will vote for the work AAP has done while Modi asks for vote only in his name," Kejriwal was quoted by media as saying.

"If all the 7 MPs from Delhi will be from AAP we will get strengthen at the centre. We will get all the developmental work done for Delhi. The BJP government at the centre has always created hurdle s in our way," he went on to claim further.

Meanwhile, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also accused the BJP of luring the party's MLAs. Taking to twitter, Sisodia wrote, "Afraid of facing defeat in Delhi, BJP has offered 10-10 million rupees to buy 7 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party". "Modi ji this does not suit you that you want to buy MLAs and fight elections. Let's fight the elections on basis of work," Sisodia added.

On Wednesday, Kejriwal returned to campaigning after missing in action for the past few weeks. He waved and smiled at the crowd as his open vehicles surrounded by hundreds of supporters passed through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi neighbourhoods. Kejriwal would be holding roadshows for all the seven candidates in Delhi.

On Thursday, he would take out a roadshow in East Delhi from Trilokpuri assembly constituency. On Friday and Saturday, the AAP chief would do roadshows in North-East Delhi and South Delhi Lok Sabha seats, respectively. On Sunday, Kejriwal is scheduled take out a roadshow in West Delhi, on May 6 in North-West Delhi and on May 8 in New Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

All the seven Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi will go to poll in the sixth phase of the general elections on May 12. The counting of votes will be taken up on May 23.
