Lok Sabha Election Results 2019 Updates: NDA leads in 38 out of 40 seats in Bihar

In 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, The BJP With Its Allies The Ram Vilas Paswan-led LJP And The Upendra Kushwaha-led RLSP Won 31 Seats In Bihar.

Counting for the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar and 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand will begin at 8 am amid tight security. The counting process and announcement of results, however, are expected to be delayed by several hours this time as the outcomes of five assembly segments per Lok Sabha constituency will be tallied with VVPAT slips.

Most of the exit polls have predicted the BJP-JDU alliance is set to sweep the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar by winning 29-31 out of the 40 seats. Similarly, in Jharkhand, the BJP-led NDA is likely to win 9-11 seats and the Grand Alliance of the Congress, the RJD, the JMM, and the JVM may win 3-5 seats.

JDU leader Sunil Kumar Pintu defeats RJD's Arjun Ray in Bihar's Sitamarhi by 2,50,539.

BJP's Chhedi Paswan defeats Congress leader and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar in Bihar's Sasaram by 1,65,745 votes.

LJP leader and Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag Paswan defeats RLSP candidate Bhudeo Chaudhary in Bihar's Jamui by 2,41,049 votes.

Misa Bharti of RJD trailing from Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar. 








BJP's Gopal Jee Thakur defeats RJD's Abdul Bari Siddiqui in Bihar's Darbhanga by 2,67,979 votes.

The BJP-led NDA is leading in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies while the Congress is ahead in twoseats in Jharkhand.

The constituencies which registered the highest female turnouts were Katihar (72.37), Supaul (71.64), Kishanganj (70.37), Araria (69.39), Purnea (68.15), Begusarai (67.13), Samastipur (66.74), Vaishali (66.62) and Ujiarpur (65.12).

Initial trends show BJP leading in 3 seats in Bihar

Counting of votes for Lok Sabha Elections2019 begins. 

Fate of 8,040 candidates to be decided today.

EC sources said that the counting centers at Dumka, Godda, Hazaribag, Ranchi and Jamshepdur have been categorized as sensitive due to political and social reasons, adding, more security force would be deployed there.

The counting process and announcement of results are expected to be delayed by several hours this time.

Nearly 60 per cent female voters came out to exercise their franchise in Bihar in the Lok Sabha elections as against just about 55 per cent turnout for men.

Counting for the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand will begin at 8 am across 24 districts.

Bihar voted in all seven phases on April 11, 18, 23, 29, May 6, 12 and 19 while Jharkhand voted in last four phases.
