Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections Results: The BJP is leading on all the four Lok Sabha seats of Himachal Pradesh, according to the latest Election Commission trends. In Shimla, BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap is leading with over 2,46,000 votes against Dhani Ram Shandil of the Congress, a state election officer said. Sitting BJP MP Anurag Thakur is leading with over 2,71,000 votes against Ram Lal Thakur of the Congress in Hamirpur.

In Mandi, sitting BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma is leading with over 2,18,000 votes in Mandi against Aashray Sharma of the Congress. BJP candidate Kishan Kapoor is leading with over 3 lakh votes against Pawan Kajal of the Congress in Kangra. Observing the trends of counting, it seems BJP is all set to repeat its last time performance of winning all the four seats of the hill-state this time too.

Polls were held in Himachal Pradesh’s four Lok Sabha constituencies Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla. State BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti expressed the hope that the party would win all the four seats in Himachal. “The BJP will win all the four seats in Himachal by huge margins. This has become possible due to the hard work of our party workers,” he added. The state chief electoral officer (CEO) Devesh Kumar said 38,01,793 people cast their votes in the four parliamentary constituencies in the state. The state has 52,62,126 registered voters.

Anurag Singh Thakur (BJP): Hamirpur 
Dhani Ram Shandil (Congress): Shimla 
Ashrey Sharma (Congress): Mandi 

In 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP swept the state and won all the 4 seats in Himachal Pradesh. The BJP received 16,52,995 votes with a vote share of 53.8 per cent. The Congress drew a blank in the state and received 12,60,477 votes with a vote share of 41 per cent. BJP's Shanta Kumar defeated Congress candidate Chander Kumar in Kangra by over 1,70,000 votes. In Hamirpur constituency, Prem Kumar Dhumal's son Anurag Singh Thakur defeated Congress leader Rajinder Singh Rana by over 98,000 votes. BJP's Virender Kashyap defeated Congress candidate Mohan Lal Brakta by over 84,000 votes in Shimla. In Mandi, which is considered to be the stronghold of Virbhadra Singh, BJP leader Ram Swaroop Sharma defeated Singh's wife Pratibha Singh by over 39,000 votes.
