Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha Election Results 2019 Live Updates: The entire state of Jammu and Kashmir recorded a total of 29 per cent voting

New Delhi:

Result for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 that was held in seven phases starting from April 11 to May 19 will be out today. During the five phases of polling, the valley’s three parliamentary constituencies of Anantnag (South Kashmir), Baramulla (North Kashmir) and Srinagar (Central Kashmir) recorded a cumulative voter turnout of merely 19 per cent. The entire state of Jammu and Kashmir recorded a total of 44.51 per cent voting. Farooq Abdullah is seeking a fourth term in the lower house of Parliament from the Srinagar seat. Abdullah is pitched against political greenhorns Aga Moshin of the PDP, Irfan Ansari of the People's Conference and Khalid Jehangir of the BJP.

National Conference leader and former chief minister Farooq Abdullah defeats PDP's Aga Syed Mohsin in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar by 70,050 votes.

2.00 pm: "The National Conference candidate (Abdullah) has taken an unassailable lead of 57,000 votes over the nearest rival, PDP candidate (Aga Syed Mohsin)," an election official said.

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah with a lead of 57,000 votes, is all set to win the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat in Jammu and Kashmir for a fourth time.
