Narendra Modi is set to return to power as the current trends show BJP ahead on 284 seats in the Lok Sabha Elections results. News Nation current trends show that the NDA is winning on 325 seats. From Uttar Pradesh to Delhi to West Bengal, BJP is sweeping key states. Modi is ahead in Varanasi by 20,000 votes. In Delhi, the BJP is leading on all 7 seats. If the current leads convert into results, the BJP has already got the magic number on its own. Celebrations have begun at BJP offices across India.

As per News Nation Exit Poll, Narendra Modi remained the top choice for prime minister with 50 per cent approval rating. Congress president Rahul Gandhi trailed with 32 per cent. Vote Share of BJP is likely to be 45 per cent and that Congress is expected to be around 40 per cent, the News Nation Exit Poll had predicted.

This time, several opposition parties, despite have contrast political ideologies, came under one roof, in their attempt to dethrone the BJP at the Centre. Case in point was the alliance between Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party in Uttar Pradesh. However, the current trends show that the Bua-Babua alliance have failed to stop the BJP juggernaut.

The BJP is leading on all seats in both Rajasthan and Gujarat.
