Congress president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address a mega rally at the Gandhi Maidan in Bihar's capital Patna on Sunday. This would be the Congress party's the first public meeting at the Gandhi Maidan after nearly three decades. Chief ministers of Congress-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh will also be present during the rally. Besides, Congress party's alliance partners are also likely to attend the rally, where the Congress president will blow his party's poll bugle. AICC in-charge of Bihar, Shaktisinh Gohil had Saturday said that special invitations have been sent to all alliance partners, including RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, RLSP leader and former minister in Modi cabinet Upendra Kushwaha and Hindustani Awam Morcha's (HAM) Jitan Ram Manjhi. While the HAM leader has already confirmed his presence at the event, there are still doubts over the presence of Kushwaha, who is nourishing injury wounds at PMCH following a clash with the police. Leaders of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) has worked overtime and held as many as 400 public meetings across the state to galvanize support for the rally.

"For employment, a youth from Bihar is roaming the entire country. Go to any village in Bihar and ask the youth, what does he do? He will tell you that he does nothing but look for job. The youth has gone to Modi’s Gujarat, he was kicked out after they found out that he is from Bihar," says Rahul Gandhi.
"He (Modi) made you stand in long queues during demonetisation. He took the money from your pockets and put that the pocket of Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Mehul Vigilance. Noteban is the biggest scam in the country," says Rahul Gandhi.
BJP said they took historic steps for farmers in the recent budget. Giving ₹17/day to a farmer is historic for them. What about Anil Ambani who was given ₹30,000Cr, Mehul Choksi- ₹35,000Cr, Nirav Modi- ₹30,000Cr? asks Rahul Gandhi
"Modi took money from your pocket. From the people of Bihar, he took the money and gave it to Mallya, Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi. Modi had promised Rs 15 lakh... so did anyone present in this rally get those Rs 15 lakh which was promised?" says Congress chief during Patna rally.
"Modi announced Rs 17 per day to farmers, that’s Rs 3.5 per member of that farmer’s family. On the other hand, Modi gave crores to Nirav Modi, Ambani, Mallya," says Rahul Gandhi
"Congress is the oldest party. Congress is the party of freedom. Today, the freedom is in danger. The country is in danger. This is why we must unite and remove this government," says former JDU leader Sharad Yadav.
"Rahul Gandhi has ability to be prime minister. I request him to give special attention to Bihar once he becomes the prime minister. The state is dubbed as ‘Bimaru’ state and Narendra Modi government has not paid any heed towards the state," says Tejashwi Yadav.
