Congress releases another list of candidates, fields Ranjeet Ranjan and Meira Kumar again from Bihar

The Congress has released a list of candidates for Bihar on Friday. Pappu Yadav's wife Ranjeet Ranjan and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar have been fielded Supaul and Sasaram, respectively. The other two names were Ashok Kumar from Samastipur and Neelam Devi from Munger. Newly inducted former BJP leader and veteran Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha will contest from Patna Sahib.

On the other hand, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday ended the suspense over seat distribution in among 'Mahagathbandhan' partners in Bihar and announced the candidates for the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies. The RJD leader announced Tanvir Hasan and Misa Bharti's candidature from Begusarai and Pataliputra, respectively.

"RJD to contest on 19 seats including Bhagalpur, Banka, Madhyapura, and Darbhanga. RLSP to contest on 5 seats, Congress to contest on 9 seats including Patna Sahib or Patna Saheb," Yadav said during a press conference.

Rebel JDU leader Sharad Yadav, who quit the party after Nitish Kumar ditched 'Mahagathbandhan' to join hands with the BJP, will contest from Madhepura. Sharad Yadav will contest on RJD symbol.

This is the list of Congress candidates from Bihar:

Ranjeet Ranjan: Supaul
Dr Ashok Kumar: Samastipur
Neelam Devi: Munger
Meira Kumar: Sasaram
