New Delhi:

In a heart-winning move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, while addressing a public meeting in Karnataka's Mangaluru, inquired about the safety of his audience, who climbed up tress to catch a glimpse of him, as the crowd swells. Requesting his supporters to climb down the trees, a 'concerned' Modi said, "Are you safe there? Please take care of yourself. If you get hurt, I will be very sad. Please come down".

"You should not take such risks," Modi tells the crowd, adding that "I am all yours. Will come back and meet again". Touched by his impressive move, the group of supporters, in the same clip, was seen chanting his names, in a thunderous roar - Mo-di! Mo-di! Mo-di!

Thanking people for gathering in such a large number, Modi said, "When I was coming here from the airport which was a long journey, I saw a human wall is there on both the sides of the road. I thought if so many people are here, who will be there at the rally. But same no of people are present here as well".

Slamming the Congress-JDS government in Karnataka, Modi stated the inspiration for the two ruling coalition partners was "Pariwarvad" (dynasty), but for the BJP it was "Rashtrawad" (nationalism).

"Recently, the Assembly Elections took place in Karnataka and a small mistake has ruined the entire state. Will you repeat the same mistake again this time?" Modi reiterated.

The prime minister said the Lok Sabha polls were not about choosing the prime minister or a government, but on how "New India" should be in the 21st century. He also hit out at the Congress, saying that the country gave it an opportunity in the 20th century, but the party lost it by handing it over to one family.

Karnataka which is the representative of 28 Lok Sabha seats, is scheduled to go to polls in two phases on April 18 and 23. The counting of votes for seven-phase General Elections will be taken up on May 23.
