BJP repeats Ram Temple promise. Rajnath Singh says "we will build a grand temple in a conducive environment if returns to power."

"We're presenting it as a vision document, not only do draw the satisfaction but also the pride and aspirations of crores of Indians," says Rajnath Singh.

BJP's manifesto committee chief Rajnath Singh is giving details about the saffron party's vision document for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He says the vision is "to bring India in the list of world's top three biggest economy."

Jaiveer Shergill, Congress: Instead of launching a 'Sankalp Patra' (manifesto), BJP should launch a 'Maafi Patr' for injecting a lethal injection of unemployment, farmers suicides, closing of businesses and putting youth towards Pakoda employment.

What is the status of BJP's some of the big promises made in 2014 manifesto?

Promise: 33 per cent reservation for women through a constitutional amendment.

Status: The promise still remains a distant dream even after the Congress president Rahul Gandhi announced unconditional support in Parliament.

Promise: Bring back black money in 100 days.

Status: The promise remains fulfilled. Although the BJP announced demonetisation to end the black money in 50 days, the move did very little to address the issue.

Promise: 1 crore jobs every year.

Status: One of the biggest failure of the Narendra Modi government. Unemployment rose to the highest since last 45 years, according to a National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) report withheld by the government.

Promise: Smart cities

Status: Visible to all. Not delivered.

Promise: Construction of a grand Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.

Status: Not built, promise still remains unfulfilled.

Senior journalist Manoj Gairola says: It would interesting to see how the BJP will counter the Congress party's NYAY scheme that promises Rs 72,000 minimum income guarantee for the poor families.

On Sunday, Union Minister Arun Jaitley had launched BJP's Logo and Tagline for 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign. The tagline read: "Phir ek baar Modi sarkar" or "Modi government once again".

Meanwhile, according to some reports, BJP president Amit Shah has reached out to veteran leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi before the release of the manifesto. The two leaders may also be present during the event.

What may features in BJP's manifesto for 2019 Lok Sabha elections:

Nationalism: BJP's campaign for 2019 Lok Sabha elections is centered around nationalism and development was less talked about issue during the rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. So, the party may bring policy on national security.

Ram Temple: One of the many promises of 2014, the BJP failed to fulfill, Ram Temple issue may once again feature in the BJP's manifesto for 2019 elections to woo Hindu voters.

Terrorism: The BJP is selling itself among the masses by using the surgical strike and Balakot strike against terror outfits in Pakistan. The party may include a zero tolerance policy on terrorism in its manifesto.

Agriculture: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already promised to double farmer's income by 2022. The BJP is very likely to include this in its manifesto.

BJP will release its manifesto for Lok Sabha elections 2019 today. Dubbed as 'Sankalp Patra', the manifesto will be release by BJP president Amit Shah at party headquarters in Delhi.
