New Delhi:

Just three days before the Lok Sabha elections 2019 starts, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its much-awaited manifesto. The BJP, whose election campaign is centered around nationalism and Hindutva, has made 75 promises to celebrate the 75th Independence Day. The BJP has once again repeated its 2014 promise to build a mega Ram Temple in a conducive environment. The BJP has titled its manifesto ‘Sankalp Patra’ and it was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah along with other members of the party’s Parliamentary board members.

Below are the highlights of BJP's manifesto launch event:

"India is a diverse country with different languages and culture, which is why we have tried to make our developmental processes multi-layered," says Modi.

"We want the people to hold us accountable and hence we have set out to achieve 75 goals (for the 75 years of independence) by 2022," says PM Modi.

Nationalism is our inspiration, uplifting the marginalised is our vision, good governance is our mantra. To run a national policy we need to work on a multi-dimensional level and that has been included in a 'Sankalp Patra', says PM Modi.

We will form a separate ‘jal shakti’ ministry, announces PM Modi.

We have set 75 well-defined resolutions in our manifesto that we can fulfil in a time bound manner, says PM Modi.

PM Modi talks about ‘one mission, one direction,’ says its about timely delivery of the promises.

After senior party leaders and cabinet ministers, PM Modi addresses the event at BJP headquarters in Delhi.

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj takes the centre stage. She says that there is clear distinction between other parties and the BJP. While other parties declare schemes in their manifestos, we at BJP are here to take Sankalp, a vow to fulfil these dreams, says Swaraj.

“Our objective is to reduce poverty to single digit in next 5 years and then eventually eliminate it,” says Jaitley.

Our policy to hit terror at the very point of its origin has garnered global support, says Jaitley.

2014 Lok Sabha Elections were conducted at a time when India was suffering from 'cynical environment', says Jaitley. Today, in 2019, the environment is totally different, says Jaitley.

Now, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is addressing the media. He says the the Modi government has fulfilled all its promises in last five years.

Every farmer will get the benefit of Kisan Salman Nidhi irrespective of land holding, said Rajnath Singh. Pension schemes got small and marginal farmers. The Modi government has taken decisive steps. There was a time when the glory of India was reduced in the global arena. We have brought back the lost glory. We curbed black money, conducted a surgical strike against terrorism: Amit Shah

"I want to remind you of 2014. In 2014 BJP was projecting the then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as the people's Prime Minister. We had a vision of how the nation will progress from 2014 to 2019 in our manifesto that year. People responded overwhelmingly and gave us a huge majority," says Amit Shah.

I want to remind you about the 2014 polls. That time we brought you a vision of how the country would be between 2014 to 2019. The people then delivered their verdict giving us a majority government. The journey from 2014 to 2019 will be written in golden words in the history of India's development: Amit Shah

What may features in BJP's manifesto for 2019 Lok Sabha elections:

Nationalism: BJP's campaign for 2019 Lok Sabha elections is centered around nationalism and development was less talked about issue during the rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. So, the party may bring policy on national security.

Terrorism: The BJP is selling itself among the masses by using the surgical strike and Balakot strike against terror outfits in Pakistan. The party may include a zero tolerance policy on terrorism in its manifesto.
