New Delhi:

Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday slammed Narendra Modi saying that she hasn’t seen a weaker, more coward prime minister than him. “I have not seen a weaker, more coward prime minister than Narendra Modi… Political might is not earned from big campaigns and from appearing on TV,” she said while speaking at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh.

"It is earned by paying heed to people's problems and solving them. It is earned by accepting criticism and hearing out the Opposition. This PM does not respond to your issues and not even interested in listening to your problems," Priyanka said.

Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi accused PM Modi of blaming the Nehru-Gandhi family for his own failures, alleging that he was like a schoolboy who failed to do his homework and his excuses are Pandit Nehru has taken away his answer-sheet and Indira Gandhi has made a paper boat out of that.

"His (Modi's) situation is like a schoolboy who never comes with his homework. When the teachers ask him, he says Nehruji took my paper away and hid it or Indira Gandhi made a paper boat out of that and drowned it in the water," she said while holding a roadshow in support of party’s candidate from the Northeast Delhi constituency Sheila Dikshit.

Priyanka even challenged PM Modi to contest the last two phases of the general election, in which Delhi will also vote, on the issues of demonetisation, GST, women's security and the promises made by him to the people of the country.

Her remarks come a day after PM Modi challenged the grand old party to fight the last two phases in the name of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, whom he has described as "bhrashtachari no. 1 (corrupt number 1)".
