In PM Modi's bastion, Congress resolves to defeat 'RSS/ BJP ideology of hatred'

New Delhi:

The Congress on Tuesday sent out a strong message to its political rivals for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections next month as party chief Rahul Gandhi said that ‘no sacrifice is too great in this endeavour.’ Setting the tone of the General Elections, Gandhi took to Twitter and said that, “On the anniversary of Gandhi Ji’s historic Dandi March, the Congress Working Committee in Ahmedabad, resolved to defeat the RSS/ BJP ideology of fascism, hatred, anger & divisiveness. No sacrifice is too great in this endeavour; no effort too little; this battle will be won.”

The CWC meet, which was led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, was held in Ahmedabad. Apart from Singh and Gandhi, the CWC meet was attended by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other senior leaders.

Meanwhile, there are reports that meeting of the Central Election Committee of Congress party will be held on March 14. This meeting will be scheduled to take place at the residence of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. The UPA chairperson also slammed the Modi government during the CWC meet and said that, “PM Modi plays the victim card, but the people of this country are the real victims of his policies.”

The Congress made a huge statement by holding the key CWC meeting in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home turf in Gujarat. But all eyes were on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The star campaigner of the Congress, who have been assigned the responsibility of 41 seats, will address the party workers. The last CWC meet in Gujarat was held 58 years ago. The "Sankalp Rally", to be held at Adalaj, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, is being perceived by Congress leaders as a major morale booster to the party in the state where it has been out of power for almost three decades.
