Shilpa Shinde has been one of the most talked about contestants on Bigg Boss 11. The lady has managed to be in the headlines since the beginning of BB11, mainly because of her tiff with Vikas Gupta.
But apart from her professional life, her love life has also been creating a lot of buzz ever since she entered the popular reality show.
Shilpa was said to get married to television actor Romit Raj a couple of years ago, however, the wedding was called off at the last moment.
While a lot was said and written about Shilpa's canceled wedding, her mother has finally revealed why the marriage was called off by the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai actress.
During her recent interview with Tellychakkar, Shilpa's mother stated that Shilpa-Romit chose to call it quits as they had a difference in their opinions.
"Romit had proposed her. And my daughter had accepted his proposal because he was a good person. Both of them decided to get married.
But after some time they realized that their opinions are very different. In fact, both of their families are also very different," Shilpa's mother was quoted as saying.
She further stated, "And it is very obvious that for a long-term relationship, you can’t compromise on such things. That is why my daughter decided to call off the marriage. She thought that it would be better to end the relationship now than going for a divorce later."
Currently, Shilpa is going strong with her journey on Bigg Boss 11 and is considered as one of the top contenders for the winner's trophy. Now it will be interesting to see how far the lady will go on the show.
