Bhajan maestro Anup Jalota’s journey in Bigg Boss 12 lasted only for a month. Anup Jalota, popular for his Bhajan ‘Aisi Lagi Lagan’, sent shock waves to the entire nation with his controversial entry with his 28-year-old student Jasleen Matharu (believed to be his girlfriend) in Bigg Boss 12. The 65-year-old singer was evicted from the show on Sunday's Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
Post his exit from the show, Jalota opened up on his relationship with his lady love Jasleen Matharu. Anup revealed there was no romance with Jasleen Matharu and everything that kept the viewers hooked to Bigg Boss 12 was staged. Anup went on to share a conversation with Jasleen’s father, Kesar, who happens to be his dear friend.Â
In a shocking revelation, the 65-year old Bhajan singer said, “After my exit, I made a call to Jasleen’s father Kesar, where I cleared everything and he understands me as we are friends for a long time. Even I asked him that ‘Kya tum muje Jasleen ka ‘Kanyaadan’ Karne doge,’ to which Kesar agreed and said ‘dono sath me karenge Jasleen ka Kanyadaan.â€Â
According to report in News18.com, Anup Jalota revealed that it was Bigg Boss makers who turned their ‘guru- shishya’ jodi into a ‘love jodi’.
“Bigg Boss makers kept Jasleen in a secret place a week before the start of the show and I am completely unaware of how this ‘guru- shishya’ jodi turned into a ‘love jodi’. I met Jasleen only on the premiere night and was myself a bit shocked to see our ‘jodi’ being introduced in this manner. However, we will set our equation right once the show gets over," said the veteran singer.
In contrast to this, Jasleen told Times of India in an interview hours before entering the Bigg Boss house in September: “This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so.â€
The most popular jodi of the house, Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu geared up the excitement level of this season while managing to garner a wide fan base. This excitement escalated to a level that their relationship was the primary topic of discussion for the first few days.
Bigg Boss also arranged for a special date night for Jasleen and Anup Jalota. However, after a task, Anup Jalota severed ties with Jasleen after the latter refused to save them from nomination by sacrificing her clothes and make-up. Jasleen even raised the temperature with her hot dance performance with the veteran singer, Anup Jalota, who still played the pole on a 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode.
