Popular reality show Bigg Boss 10 came up with an intriguing twist lately, after the makers chose to hike the prize money with a significant amount for the contestants.
It was reported in the beginning that the winning amount of Bigg Boss 10 will be Rs 50 lakh just like the previous seasons of the show.
However, the amount was dropped to mere Rs 15 lakh after Nitibha Kaur and Om Swami chose to cut short the winning amount for medallion win and two week immunity respectively.
While it was a indeed a huge disappointment for the housemates, BB recently gave the contestants a chance to raise the prize money for the show.
During a recent task, captaincy task the contestants were given a choice to either take up captaincy or hike the prize money and they went for the second option.
All the housemates carried on the task for the prize money and got a significant jump in the winning amount making it cross Rs 40 lakh.
Yes! Now the winning prize for Bigg Boss 10 is Rs 43,99,999.
This all happened during the 'Maalgaadi' task where Rohna Mehra and Mona Lisa were appointed as jailers and were said to assign a certain amount of money to other contestants for the task.
Lopamudra Raut was attributed with the highest amount of Rs 11 lakh, while Om Swami got the least amount to his credit.
The rest of the contestants - Manveer, Manu and Nitibha were assigned Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively making a total increase of Rs 29 lakh in the winning amount.
Well, this is indeed a huge victory for the contestants and a major twist in the show.
We wonder, if this increased prize money will lead to some more twists of Bigg Boss 10.
