Priyanka Chopra is all set to make a splashing comeback to Bollywood with Salman Khan starrer Bharat. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial will see PeeCee reuniting with her Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Salaam-e-Ishq co-star Salman.
Interestingly, the Baajirao Mastani actress will also team up with a former co-star for an exciting project, if a recent report in Mumbai Mirror is to be believed.
The co-star in question is none other than Abhishek Bachchan. Priyanka and Abhishek are known for their terrific chemistry which was visible in their films like Dostana and Bluffmaster.
The report in the leading daily suggested that the two talented actors were approached by Shonali Bose for her next directorial. In case, you are thinking the dynamic duo are teaming up for Dostana 2, we will have to stop you right there.
The Margarita with a Straw director is coming up with a film based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, said the report.
For the initiated, Aisha was a prominent motivational speaker who wrote the book My Little Epiphanies. Despite being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at a young age of 13, Aisha didn’t give up and shared inspirational talks on leading platforms.
The report also stated that if Abhishek and Priyanka give their nod to the project, then they would play the role of Aisha’s parents.
"Shonali met with Abhishek recently on the sets of Manmarziyan and shared the idea with him. He liked it and she will be giving him the final narration soon. If he comes on board, Priyanka and he will play parents to the young protagonist casting for which is currently underway. Meanwhile, Shonali is working on the script and hopes to start shooting by the year-end’’, a source told Mumbai Mirror.
