CONFIRMED! Aishwarya Rai back together with Abhishek Bachchan in 'Gulaab Jamun'

After a gap of eight long years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan to share screen space together for a flick titled Gulaab Jamun.

In a talk with Mid-Day, Aishwarya confirmed the news and said, “AB [Abhishek] and I have agreed to do Gulab Jamun. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after Manmarziyaan’’.

“We had agreed on the idea then. However, it was around the same time that AB decided to take time out. After the hiatus, he returned with Manmarziyaan, which coincidentally is directed by Anurag Kashyap. That’s when the chatter around Gulab Jamun began again, and we finally came on board. It is a beautiful script, and we fit the narrative perfectly’’, she added.

Speaking on choosing Gulaab Jamun for the couple returning on screen together she said “The script had to be interesting if a real-life couple is coming together’’.

Earlier, both Abhishek and Aishwarya has acted together in Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Guru, Kuch Na Kaho, Umrao jaan, Sarkar Raj and Raavan.

The celebrity couple got married in the year 2007 and is blessed with a daughter (Aradhya) who was born in 2011.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya is busy with her upcoming flick Fanney Khan and hubby Abhishek is awaiting the release of Marmarziyan which will hit the theatres on September 7.
