The pre-wedding celebrations of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta have kicked off in Switzerland. The who's who of Bollywood industry including Alia Bhatt and boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor were spotted leaving for snow-clad Swiss destination to attend the celebrations. Mukesh Ambani is hosting a three-day pre-wedding festivities for son Akash and fiance Shloka Mehta.Â
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, and Vidya Balan were among several other Bollywood stars who left Mumbai late Sunday to attend the wedding festivities. Check out the pictures below:
Recently, a musical night was organised at the Ambanis’ residence Antilia and had garba singer Falguni Pathak on stage and was joined in by singer Tushar Trivedi.Â
A Mid-Day report claimed Maroon 5 is all set to perform at the pre-wedding bash. “Since Shloka and Akash are both fans of Maroon 5, the family thought it fitting to have them perform for the couple at the sangeet that will be held on March 8. While Akash’s favourite track is Sugar in which the band is seen gatecrashing weddings, Shloka loves Move Like Jagger,'' the tabloid quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, Akash Ambani is all set to tie the knot with Shloka Mehta on March 9. The wedding ceremony will take place at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai and the guest are invited at 3.30 in the evening. The wedding ceremony will start at 7.30 pm followed by dinner at the Jio World Centre. The wedding reception will be held on March 11 at 7.30 at Jio World Center and the attire for the event will be Longue suit or Indian formal attires.Â
