The singing sensation Kanika Kapoor recently performed in an event 'Udbhav -2017' held in Indraprastha Engineering College, Ghaziabad where we caught her getting candid to the camera. In an exclusive interview with Shashikant Sharma for News Nation, she gave her take on the recent miff between Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar on 'nepotism'. She says "anyone Karan has actually got into his movies, they could be the son and daughters of whoever, they act really well" When asked further she says,"it only comes naturally , they have been fortunate enough to learn from their fathers and mothers."
She doesn't support the idea of nepotism by adding "there are lot of celebrity kids who don't make it as good actors and actresses and there are many who do, it is difficult for everybody"
Asked about her being totally an outsider in bollywood, did she face any discrimination to make her own mark in the industry, she says, "ofcorse coming to bollywood and being new and not really knowing anybody, it was very difficult"
Kanika Kapoor had surely gained a lot of stardom in her two year old career after her hit-numbers 'Babydoll' and 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' she says she still is strugging, "I have only learnt now and i am a fan of Kangana, she is an outsider too and made it on her own, i am someone similar."
When asked whom she favours upon the Kangana-KJo miff, she avoids commenting on it.
Also, when asked about her being getting married she admits "yes i would love to wear a sari and a bindi but i am not getting married anytime soon". Kanika is busy with her future projects and promises us to deliver more hit-music and make us 'happy and dance'. "I have a lot of music coming out and that's my only plan right now.
