New Delhi:

Alia Bhatt's last release 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' is doing wonders at the box office and the diva is planning to celebrate the success in a rather different way.

Post the commendable success of BDK, Alia Bhatt is looking forward to spending some 'me time' and is taking six months break from her profession.

According to the media reports, the diva will be busy enhancing her skills during the break and will even try her hands on new things.

Confirming the news, Alia told a leading daily, "“That’s right. I am going to be bettering my craft, learning new skills, imbibing untried experiences.”

"I want to learn to play the piano. I want to learn Kathak, too. I want to be more equipped as an actor. I realise acting is not just about what you do when you’re facing the camera. There’s a lot more thought that goes into it. I am trying to gather as many experiences as possible," she added.

While Alia has made her to-do list for the six-month break, there's one thing that is on priority for her right now.

The 'Udta Punjab' actress asserted that she is keen to learn cooking.

“I have a new home and I’m house-proud. And I love to entertain guests. However, whenever guests drop in I feel inadequate because I am unable to cook for them. Not just that. I want to cook for myself also. I feel it is an essential part of my progress towards a complete life,” Alia was quoted as saying.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming directorial 'Dragon' opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

The movie, which was said to be hitting the floors early this year, has been postponed and will now begin shooting in September.
