Dharmendra on Friday said he does not see himself as a superstar but as an actor.
The 82-year-old actor said becoming the number one star was neither his nor his sons- Sunny and Bobby’s—aim ever.
“We are not stars, we are actors. Rajesh Khanna gave this word, superstar, because he knew that, we don’t know that thing and we will remain the way we are, whether we are called number one or not,” Dharmendra said.
He was talking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film “Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se”, which also stars Sunny and Bobby.
The film is third instalment in the “Yamla Pagla Deewana” franchise and the veteran actor said they have made the film with an intent to entertain.
“We all try to fulfil our wishes. It was our wish to make ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’. The first one worked, the second was a flop but we are Jatt and we are not someone to step back. We have made an attempt and hope audiences will like the film.”
The film also features a special song “Rafta.. Rafta”, which has cameos of Salman Khan, Rekha and Sonakshi Sinha.
Dharmendra said they had a great time filming the song with the them.
