Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali when converged have proven to produce some of the silver screen’s most spectacular performance. From Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani to Padmaavat, Bhansali as a filmmaker and Deepika as an actor make a perfect piece of work. It hence comes a bit of a surprise that Padukone was chosen over Alia Bhatt for the upcoming Salman Khan starrer, Inshallah.
A new report now indicates that Deepika is slightly disappointed with the ace filmmaker for not casting her. While the length of truth to this report is unknown, a report, according to Latestly by Open Magazine suggests that Padukone was warned beforehand that SLB has always been skeptical of casting married actresses for romantic roles. The report also added that the same happened in the Kareena Kapoor Khan’s case in Ram Leela who was originally in Bhansali's mind before Deepika.
A report by Latestly, a source was quoted as saying that Deepika is “disappointed but not heartbroken" after the casting of Inshallah was finalised.
Talking about Bhansali’s next, Inshallah will be starred by Salman Khan who is reuniting with the filmmaker after 19 years since Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam alongside Alia Bhatt.
