Deepika Padukone is on a career high post the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat. The Bollywood diva who played the role of queen Padmavati in the film, has taken a break from shooting, owing to her back issues.
Ever since I Hate Luv Stories director Punit Malhotra shared a picture with Deepika and Karan Johar, there has been a lot of speculations over the Piku actress’ upcoming project.
Punit shared the picture with the caption,“Launched a new director at @DharmaTwoPointO today... our very own @karanjohar Thank you @deepikapadukone for a super fun shoot’’.
The caption was enough to incite the fans who thought that the Baajirao Mastani actress would star in a Karan Johar directorial. Interestingly, Deepika was part of Dharma Productions’ 2013 release Yeh Jawaani Hai Diwani.
Karan Johar, who has helmed films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name Is Khan, directed the leggy lass for an ad and not a movie. This will be KJo’s first advertisement.
Talking about Dharma 2.0, the company is the sister concern of Dharma Productions which is involved into advertising making. Â Fans very soon will be able to see Deepika Padukone in a Karan Johar directed ad.
Karan Johar is producing some of the most awaited films like Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak and Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. The talented filmmaker will also direct a short story for Netflix’s Lust Stories.
