Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been enjoying their marital bliss in the best way they can. After dating for six years, the lovebirds tied the nuptial knot on November 14 and 15. Their romance had bloomed on the sets of Galiyon Ke Rasleela – Ram Leela and grew stronger with each passing day.
In an interview to Filmfare magazine, Deepika shared some surprising news about her relationship, which shocked many DeepVeer fans. The actress revealed that they got engaged four years ago. The only people who were aware of it were Deepika's parents, Ranveer's parents and their sisters Anisha Padukone and Ritika Bhavnani.
Talking about the same, Deepika shared, "When I look back, six months into it I was pretty much emotionally invested in us. After that, it was when do we get married? I was never unsure about him. Of course, in a six-year-long relationship, you go through your ups and downs but we never broke up."
"There was no major fight or saying let’s take time off and figure this out. We’ve fought; we’ve had our ups and downs. But we stuck through all of that," the actress added.
In her interview, she also confirmed that she has a superhero movie in the pipeline. She revealed, ‘’Yes, I’m working on it. I hope it happens. There’s no script as yet. It’s something my friend and I are developing. I was in the plane with a friend from the industry and talking about the movies we’d like to make. We realised that this superhero film is something we’d like to make. It’s a seed we’re nurturing.’’
In a recent interview, Ranveer was all praises for Deepika and he had said, ‘’Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It's been six years now. She's too good, too lovely. She's a force of nature. I understood that almost immediately. "
On the work front, Deepika will be also seen in Meghna Gulzar’s film Chapaak with Vikrant Massey. She will play acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal in the film.
