Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone had a relationship that was the talk of the town, while they were dating and even when they parted ways. Deepika even got Ranbir's initials tattooed on her nape, but interestingly, she did not get it removed even after their very public breakup until the news of her wedding with Ranveer Singh caught fire.
Deepika’s ex-flame Ranbir was invited at the 'DeepVeer' Mumbai reception and so was his rumoured girlfriend and young starlet, Alia Bhatt. B-town much-in-love couples like Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar and Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani walked in at DeepVeer’s Mumbai reception drumming their love for each other. However, there was one couple who’s entry was awaited by everyone - Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. But unfortunately, there was no sign of them at the reception.
As per a Pinkvilla report, Deepika was asked about Ranbir giving her wedding reception a miss on the famous chat show 'Famously Filmfare'. To this, the report quotes Deepika, “We’ve not spoken. I mean, we spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that’s him. I’m not surprised at all. But, that’s the relationship we share and that’s the beauty of that relationship; so much is said without saying much at all.â€Â
Years after her breakup, Deepika has evolved into a stronger, and more logical individual. Probably why, the duo are still friends and did not hesitate in starring together in Imtiaz Ali's film, Tamasha.
Although it's been said that Ranbir and Alia were busy shooting for an all-night schedule of Brahmastra but people could not stop speculating about their pleasantly surprising camaraderie, which still exists despite their split.
