After creating awareness on female menstrual hygiene in Padman, Akshay Kumar is back and is all geared up to showcase India’s first gold medal victory post-Independence.
Actor, singer Farhan Akhtar who has already been in such athlete inspiring film (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag) took his Twitter account to share the first poster of Gold.
He tweeted “All victories begin with a dream. It fills me with immense joy to present to you the official poster of #Gold, a film that is very close to my heart’’.
In a talk with PTI, producer Ritesh Sidhwani cleared the air about the plot of the movie and said, “It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports... About hockey. It is not based on any character
Helmed by Reema Kagti, the movie also feature Mouni Roy in significant role. The flick will be her debut in Bollywood.
The movie is slated to hit the theatres on August 15.
