This talented actress has never restricted her talent to just being an actress. She hasn’t shied away from daring things many consider a risk. Directing movies such as Dil Aashna Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan or the 2011 movie Tell Me O Kkhuda starring her very own daughter, Esha Deol proves the point.
In one of the interviews Hema Malini was quoted saying, ‘’My Dancing talent was underutilised in movies’’ and we couldn’t agree more. . Hema Malini is known to be a pro in Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam. And she has even choreographed movies like Mrig, Trishna, Lekin, Mehbooba among many others. This gifted persona also flairs in some of the moves not many can pull off.

From an actor to a politician, Hema Malini has added another feather to her cap by becoming a BJP candidate. The veteran actor has been part of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as a representative of the BJP. She is currently, a Member of Parliament from the Mathura constituency.
A mother and a grandmother
Apart from her booming career, Hema Malini is also the mother to two daughters, Esha Doel and Ahana Doel with husband Dharmendra. In 2015, she also became a grandmother to a little baby boy, Darien Vohra and granddaughter, Radhya Takhtani.
