Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium has taken the Chinese box office by a storm. The film which released in the country on April 4 has minted Rs 100 crore within the first three days.
The Saket Choudhary directorial started on a positive note in China and collected Rs 22.06 crore on the very first day. The flick witnessed a phenomenal growth of 83 per cent on the second day and minted Rs 41 crore.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the film on Twitter. Interestingly, good mouth-of-the-word publicity has helped the film put a blockbuster show at the box office.

The success of Hindi Medium is expected to motivate the filmmakers to release their films, which don’t ride on star power, in China.

Hindi Medium which also featured Saba Qamar revolved around a Delhi couple who wished to send their daughter to one of the top English medium schools in the city. The film enjoyed a successful run at the domestic box office and was one of the sleeper hits of 2017.
The comedy-drama won the Best Film Award at the 2018 Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai. Irrfan Khan also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his stupendous performance in the movie.Â
The makers of Hindi Medium are all set to come up with a sequel which will be helmed by Cocktail director Homi Adajania.
Fans of Irrfan Khan have another reason to rejoice as his much-awaited movie Blackmail was released on April 6. The film has managed to earn rave reviews from the critics for its interesting storyline.
